1920's Two Story House Water Damming Challenge
Building envelop scan with special emphasis on attic
Comments: Attic warming being caused by overheated plumbing vent pipe, heat transmission around batt insulation and lack of air movement from soffit vents. Air infiltration is evident above and below the ceiling. This indicates out of place insulation. Overall there is a
minor challenge with the lower floor insulation as indicated by
interior and exterior scans. Main floor exterior walls are slightly
warmer as indicated by a lighter color of purple. A window in the south rear room may have seal issues as indicated by higher than average temps. I would like to return to investigate the source of the plumbing vent heating as I did not get any images of those heat runs while I was there last time. |
| Front of house - everything fine. |

| Rear of house - upper window south room may be leaking - some heat transfer. Main floor insulation not as effective as second floor. |

| Very limited air flow at eaves. Attic may require another vent to provide enhanced air flow. |
