Residential in-floor heating lines
Challenge: Locate leak in heat run presumed to be located immediately adjacent to garage doors.
Hot water has been flowing in isolated run for 20 - 30 minutes at this point.
Only one run expected to show but quickly several runs become evident. Temps show range across runs of 8.6 C to 11.6 indicating that ALL runs are heating.

All runs in this area were activated by supposed single loop test

3:53 PM - west area of floor heat flooded

Heat runs visible on door side of garage but heat flooding evident in westerly 50% of floor.

Cold water introduced to loop and has been running for 20 minutes with little discernible temperature fluctuation. Floor considered to be too warm to continue proper testing.

Comment:
Thermographic test should be reattempted with thermographer on site from start up. Floor should be allowed to cool significantly prior to restarting heat flow through loop and test can be carried out with better understanding of heat transfer from loop.Cell: 1-403-390-6873
